Devils Officially Hire Rich Krezwick as President, Devils Arena Entertainment

Prudential_center_outside_corner_medium

This has been followed by guys like Tom Gulitti for awhile, but today was the first time that we'd noticed anthing official about this situation, when we went to the Prudential Center website and noticed that the Devils have hired former COO of FleetCenter in Boston, Rich Krezwick as President, Devils Arena Entertainment, the company that manages the Prudential Center.  He will oversee programming and management of any and all events that will take place at the arena, which may include the New Jersey Nets as soon as next season.

Here's what Devils chairman Jeff Vanderbeek had to say:
In joining us from Boston's FleetCenter, Rich is a terrific addition to our organization. His marketing and sales talents, along with his financial background and arena operations experience make him the perfect person to join our team and take Prudential Center to the next level. He is well respected in the industry and through his contacts, will ensure that Prudential Center and the City of Newark are further enhanced as a premier destination for sports and entertainment events.

Let's all wish him well here at ILWT.  As any good Devil fan should say, the Prudential Center is our home, and how it progresses as a first-class facility is something that should be important to us.

Would fans notice anything different when at a game or is this more of a behind the scenes move that is meant to bring in other events to the Rock?
Welcome to the Rock Rich!

My guess is that he’ll be on the business side of the arena and really be behind-the-scenes. I tried to glean some info about him from Boston fans, but all they knew is what we know.

If it’s good for the Rock, then it’s good for the Devils, of course; so let’s wish him the best of luck.

Devils in my heart! Devils in my mind! Devils in my eyes! Devils until I die!

Does this keep the NJSEA out of The Rock? If so, this is good.
