Mystery Pucks for 10/28 Game vs. Buffalo & A Poll about the Promo

After a rocky (to say the least) introduction of the Mystery Pucks sale back in February, the Devils set some ground rules for a second go at it in March and the proceedings went much smoother.  In both cases, the Devils sold out of "Mystery Pucks" real quickly.  For those of you not in the know, the idea is that you pay $25 for a puck signed by a random Devil.  It could be Zach Parise. It could be Dainius Zubrus. It could even be Jay Leach - who is the source of the "John Hancock" I got back in March.  Even if you didn't end up with a player still up with New Jersey, you at least got something and the proceeds went to charity.

Well, the Devils are doing it again for this Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres.  The same rules apply. There are 550 pucks available, they will be sold by the Verizon tower (that's the tower by the AmeriHealth Pavillion a.k.a. the Devils' practice rink), and the sale will begin at 5:30 PM EST.   Pucks will be $25, you can only buy one puck at a time and only in cash, and the net proceeds go to UNICEF.

Like the last two times, expect the lines to be larger than expected and the pucks to go quickly.  So get there early on Wednesday, if you can and are interested in buying an autographed puck.   To that end, I'd like to get your take on the Mystery Puck promotion.

Mystery Pucks sold out again

Was there at 6:30pm and the table was gone already. Building was pretty empty considering too. 14k was the announced attendance but we no the Devs and that. My
guess is 10ish if that, but anyway mystery pucks have and still are a mystery to me unless
they start selling them later.
