Swedish WJC Roster Announced: Tedenby, Josefson In, No Urbom
The original link is in Swedish, but the roster itself is pretty clear by name. Congratulations to Mattias Tedenby and Jacob Josefson for being named to the roster. The links on the page send you to a PDF overview (in English) of what the player has done so far. This article at the IIHF site asks the pertinent question: "Is this the year for Sweden?" It might be with Tedenby and Josefson leading the offense.
What really surprises and bothers me is that Alexander Urbom's not on the roster. Why? The WJCs will be in Saskatoon on the smaller, North America size ice. Urbom is used to that due to playing the WHL and his size would be huge positive as the smaller ice lends itself to a more physical tournament. Is he not on the roster because the Swedish defenders are that much better, or is it because he jumped to the WHL? Either way, I feel it's an omission.

Urbom looked great in the preseason, which is all you can ask right now for a kid who’s only 18. But we saw his potential, and it’s a great sign that Tedenby and Josefson were selected. The future is bright, and Swedish.
