Of course, everyone should keep their comments clean.
Also, Devils fans, rejoice that the team is playing at the Rock tonight because tomorrow looks nasty in NJ.

What you fail to understand in your joyless myopia is that baseball is the key to life-- the Rosetta Stone, if you will. If you just understood baseball better all your other questions your, your... the, uh... the aliens, the conspiracies they would all, in their way be answered by the baseball gods.
Warmups are on and the masses are still filing in/chilling on the concourses.

Tonight’s game looks better than Wednesday’s game; but that’s not saying much. Senators look more confident after their first power play. Devils could do better with safer passes, in my view.

Lovely play by Greene to set up the easy tap in for Langenbrunner. Why Ottawas let him go in behind easily is beyond me. Ottawa looks up to the task, though.

Devils did a good job on the kill. Not a bad period, but the Devils are a bit loose on possession and passing. The Sens are getting too many pucks back on offense. But the Devils had more than a few good chances, Marty looks so great, and the PP converted.
Now, BUILD on this, Devils.

Devils caught on a change and the Senators equalize with a move. Awful.

So they’ll call a cheap trip, but nothing for hitting the keeper? Amazing.
Defense looks sloppy, I don’t like where this may go.

Honestly, this hasn’t been as bad as a period as recent second period “efforts”. Not that it makes this a good period. Devils defense needs to play smarter and tighter. And the offense would benefit with more patience.
Still, Devils responded to Ottawa’s fluke and Ruutu’s attack and still lead. A good sign at least.

I missed it...
Who were Doc and Chico just talking about, scoring a goal against Atlanta and hitting Exelby, someone from the Pat Burns era (what a great time that was)?
There is now a scuffle on a delayed call. But unfortunately, this call may be against NJ. Eep
It is. Its going to be a long 1:22.

Huge kill, not so good on the offensive chances after, but the Devils look hungry. And Ottawa just gifted them a chance to put this game away.

P KILL
great penalty kill!!
yeah, the Sens could not even T it up on Marty.
i’m glad Marty is ok…. close call!
Well, that was a game! Uh, I got to think about this one. I have mixed feelings about the performance tonight. Better than Wednesday, but was it a solid effort? Eh, not quite?
Hilarious insurance goal aside, the recap will come later. For now, I await a train. Stay warm and thanks for reading!

Silver Seven: the Daniel Alfredsson of Ottawa Senators blogs.
Game over another win for the Devils..
This game was a lot more exciting than the Montreal game. A lot quicker pace had some wierd goals a lot of power plays and Marty almost got hurt I cannot believe Cheecho did not get a penalty for that hit. It is going to seem wierd seeing the Devils on the road tomorrow night they have played so many home games. Great shot by my man Rolston..
Donald Vasquez
Recap is up. Thank you all.
