"It's all been on the power play and here and there, but you've got to be consistent," Elias said. "It's not like we're not working hard. It's got nothing to do with work ethic. We've been playing well and creating chances. We're just not finishing them."
Elias offers his thoughts to Gulitti about the fact that his line has not been scoring as often as they were earlier this season. Sutter clearly thinks changing the line to Elias-Rolston-Gionta will do it. Gionta's numbers have went up at least.

change of line
I like the move putting Rolston on that line. Gionta likes to camp out in front of the net and with Rolstons slapshot it can create rebounds for Gionta or Elias.

If Rolston is going to take slapshots, he’ll have to play more up in the zone. Given the the Devils’ style to win possession off the boards and take the battles down low this season, I’m not sure it’ll fit right away.
I know this was the unit Sutter was doing at the very beginning of the season. I’m not saying it won’t be a success; but there will be a time for adaptation.
That said, if Rolston can get those shots through, Elias and Gionta can pounce on those rebounds like Parise/Langenbrunner has done on that line…
