Check up on Gulitti and Chere to find out if Langenbrunner will be good to go. (UPDATE: Langenbrunner will play, Salvador will not according to Gulitti.) As it is, Gulitti already learned quite a bit about Carolina at their practice this morning. It looks like Anton Babchuk will be back on defense, Frantisek Kaberle may be sitting for Babchuk, Matt Cullen is expected to play, and Sergei Samsonov is "hopeful."
As far as I know, Babchuk in for Kaberle won't mean Carolina will make fewer mistakes in their own end - as both saw time this series and both haven't reduced the mental errors of the blueline overall. Moreover, Cullen and Samsonov each have an assist and that's it. They haven't been lighting it up (no points from either defenseman here). Remember: Carolina's top goal scorer is a three way tie between Chad LaRose, Ryan Bayda, and Eric Staal with 2 goals each. So Devils, stop that fourth line!

i’m hoping with JAMIE back, the DEVILS can get the scoring going again!! i know & everyone else know that the canes will come at the DEVILS with everything they can & then some. i would think that the DEVILS——D know that!!! so lets tighten up, keep our HEADS UP & SCORE!!!

Poor passes, Carolina’s defense fighting for everything, a giveaway here and there, it’s no wonder why Carolina has all this momentum,. Devils need a wake up call.

The first five minutes was fine for the Devils; but since that power play – it’s been all Carolina! That makes the power plays by NJ doubly frustrating. It’s not that they aren’t scoring on them, they aren’t even getting shots on net! They are literally wasting this time to attack!
