The Time: 7 PM EDT

The Broadcast: MSG Plus 2 local TV(find your channel location here if you don't know it); 660 AM WFAN for radio

The Matchup: The New Jersey Devils (0-0-1) at the Washington Capitals (0-1-0)

The Previews:  John's preview on the game can be read here.  For the Washington Capital perspective head over to Japer's Rink for previews of the game they have put together.

Gameday Info:  Per Tom Gulitti Martin Brodeur will be in net tonight for the Devils. Unless something changes within the next few hours, per Rich Chere, the Devils will have the same lineup as last night.  11 forwards, 7 defensemen.  Adam Mair has not accompanied the team to Washington so he is still in Professional Tryout Limbo.

3 Things I Will Be Looking For:

1.  Special Teams Play-The Devils had a good PK and PP yesterday, but I would like to see the PP first unit be a bit more effective in establishing a zone presence.

2. 4th Line Play-This is simple, the Devils will need for their fourth line players (Rod Pelley, PL3) to play more than 9:00 combined per game.

3.  Defensive Rebound-Hopefully the new defensive pairings will begin to get more comfortable playing with each other.   I think Alexander Urbom and Matt Taormina played well.  Taormina made some mistakes but I thought he didn't look totally out of place playing over 20 minutes.

OK, it's now time for Game 2 of the 2010-2011 season and the first of twenty back-to-back sets the Devils will play this year.  Use this post to comment on all the game action.  Just remember to keep those comments clean, relatively on-topic, and legal.   Go Devils!
