I just witnesses the Devils loose another game. This time to Phillie. Sure there were some bright spots. Yes there is always hope for tomorrow. However nothing speaks like results. Nothing.
No point in trying to point the finger at anyone one person, its too late for that. But responsibility starts at the top. This is not government work, we expect results. We are coming up on the first third of the season and something has to give and give now.
In this case it is the coach. I am not a life long Devils fans, in fact this is my first year supporting this team, but it won't be my last. I have no great attachment to the past exploits of John McClean. I recognize they were considerable but that was in a different role. I only know that with 1:42 seconds left in the game he couldn't pull the trigger. the Coach failed to pull the goalie on an offensive end face off, at a time when he needed to pull out all the stops and hope for a tie. It may seem like a very small point yet to me it is everything. I fail to have confidence that this is the right man for the right time. He may be a good coach, but this is not his time nor his team. The GM needs to do what's best for the entire team and move on to someone else.
