Good thing we got 4 years to choose when we want to give up that 1st round pick were losing cause of the whole Kovalchuk fiasco.
When these guys jamie langenbrunner, brian rolston,martin brodeur, patrik elias, jason arnott contracts are up, we will be ok. These old farts are done and just playing out their contracts.. Its time to rebuild. We can do it! GO DEVILS!!

I just love it when people point out Arnott, Elias, and Brodeur as being old and done…just goes to show how deep their knowledge of this team is.
So this is what it's like to be an Islanders fan...
Soo giving rolston and arnott their 5+ millions. Plus a draft pick! Couldn’t pay Gio or Gomez!?!

At the time Rolston was scoring and it was a week market. Arnott is leading the team in goals.

Exactly…Arnott is at least producing, leading the team in goals. Roger Dorn is still as dismal at production as he was the past two years.

Arnott makes $4.5m/yr. Gionta makes $5m/yr and Gomez makes a nice $7.357m/yr. Gomez makes more than Kovalchuk per season.
