I really feel for him...
Although I am sure he is happy to be playing in the NHL again…it would be ideal in my opinion for him to be centering a third line. Say between Rolston and Clarkson perhaps….

Zharkov had a glorious chance, and he knew he wasted it!
Overall, period was OK. Devils need to be sharper in their own zone, a number of their clearances and passes led to continued Leaf possession. That said, there’s an energy from NJ that I like early.

It blows my mind that this team hasn’t spent the past few days working on passing to one another. It’s quite obvious that a lot of their problems are symptomatic of their total inability to get the puck where it needs to be.
why not wave peters instead of pikka
atleast pikka could dump the puck into the offensive zone.it took a few game s to get it but he did.im not sure if i have seen peter touch the puck.

Would they even care if they did? I feel like if you set The Rock on fire right now the team would just sit there and burn. Wake up….these games count.
I think that they are trying to pass to Kovi to much in the second. Were still in the game if we wake up in the 3rd. Lets hope for some magic.

You know, normally I would agree. But Toronto just collapsed in the last few minutes and the Devils took that opportunity and cashed in. It’s nice to be on the other side of a last second win.

A win is a win and this team really need to win this game after the last few they have had. Kovy played well, hope he plays great tomorow against the Rags, but they got to play like that the entire game tomorow. They gotta build up the defense, I would love to see Corrente or Eckford back with the team instead of Mottau, i just dont like him, i know he had 2 assists but he is just terrible. Great win, welcome to Jersey Kovy and lets kick some Ranger ass tomorow.

Just got back. Talk about rising from the ashes after being dead in the water. The 2nd period was just…..awful…..but apparantly we only need to play five minutes of hockey in order to score what we couldn’t in 55 minutes. Anyway, it’s good to go into tomorrow’s game against the Rangers with a victory under our belts. Elias can not come soon enough.

Awful News in the Toronto Camp
Brian Burke’s son, Brendan, has passed away tragically in a car accident. He was 21. We all learned about Brian in John Buccigross’ profile of him for ESPN.com earlier this season.
Hockey’s just a game, folks. Rest in Peace, Brendan.
Condolences to the Burke family.
