Is it too soon to start chanting "1994" at when the Rangers are in town?

Since we've grabbed the cup three times since they last touched the cup.  Is it too soon to start chanting "1994" when the Rangers visit?

I think it might be still a little bit too early, but once 2014 rolls around, I'm going to start reminding Rangers fans how long its been since they did any thing other than overpay for talent.

Side note, I'll only be chanting this when the Rangers are  in town.

Took mine

“Love it” was going to be my subject heading but Devilman3030 pounced on it.

I have respect for most sports fans with 2 exceptions: NY Ranger fans who grew up in New Jersey, and Dallas Cowboy fans who can't name the capital of Texas.

DOn't know why that didn't work

Here goes:

When the Flyers last won their Cup – the number one song in the US was Shining Star by Earth, Wind and Fire

For the Ranges in 1994, it was "I Swear" by All-4-One. (I have no idea who this is).

For the Devils in 2003, it was 21 Questions by 50 Cent ft. Nate Dogg.

Well at least we can chant 1975 when Philly is around. I’ll be waiting patiently until 2014 to start the 1994 chant for the Ranger.

Kind of silly since it’s two thousand and…oh, I see what you did there.

Actually

That one was mildly popular in the early 90’s. Ranger fans would respond to the Devil fans chants of 1940 with 19 never, so the counter response was 19 never again.

Go Jets
Go Devils
