Around SBN: Miikka Kiprusoff Wins 300th Game, Buffalo Crushes Boston

For some reason, Travis Hughes wanted to let everyone know that you can still get Devils playoff tickets. It's a bit weird that a Flyers fan wants to let Devils fans know that they can get playoff tickets, but whatever. The Rock making money is money made for the Devils.

By the way, feel free to get some deals for Game 3 and Game 4 at StubHub. Keep in mind that you'll have to go to Philly for the game itself.

Thanks, Travis! P.S. Never? That word does not mean what you think it means.

I saw that

I will NOT be as chivalrous as you John – that’s a move straight from the Jerk Store. However, on second thought, I guess I can’t blame him. After the Phillies invaded the Nationals’ Park for Opening Day Philly is high on the road power of their fans lately. I should know, for 2 sports out of the year, I’m one of them. The bus trip back in October also comes to mind.

So, we’ve got to be aggressive in sinking in some money. I’m going with the meetup.com group and we’re scattered all over, but we still felt we needed to contribute getting Devil fans in those seats with Philly in town. We need to sacrifice some extra dollars when it’s a regional foe, for anything else – in the name of Lou and Dr. John McMullen. I’ve been encouraging Devil fans to get these tix NOW! As of right now, I’ve found it tough to get two together in the Upper Bowl and the Lowers seem to be all that are going right now on ticketmaster.

And I’m already there for Game 3 against Philly and will be wearing my Devils’ jersey. True, I may also wear my Phillies hat for needed protection, but if someone encourages me not to – I may reconsider.

To any Devils fan going, I"m taking the PATCO and the SEPTA in and I would recommend a bar in Center City Philly, but if all of us show up there, we’ll probably get asked to leave. . . . If you’re driving Chickie and Pete’s will probably feature everyone going to the game, so they’ll be some Devil fans, but tailgating is probably your best option. See you AT THE GAMES!

I bought Game 5 tickets on the 9th and I just picked up tickets for Game 1 (How could I resist?) on a third party ticket vendor site today. There’s a bunch of third party sites selling tickets for upper level seating if anyone is willing to do a little research. I was able to pick up two section 212 seats, first row for about $35 a seat. Not bad. Ticketmaster appears to be out of the upper sections and still has mezzanine sections and below available for the first two games. Devils fans, lets fill the Rock up to capacity tomorrow!

Where did you go to get these? i’m looking for game 5

jweinstein116, I actually just took a look right now at stubhub.com. Looks like they have some upper level seating available for $35 a ticket. Keep in mind they charge a fee to buy tickets through the site (like $15 or something), so you’d be paying literally a couple of bucks more to get it through this site as opposed to $40 through the box office, and obviously this becomes more worthwhile depending upon the number of tickets you purchase since its a one time fee and not per ticket.

I actually stumbled upon this site a couple of months ago for tickets, and they have been consistently cheap: ticketjew.com. I know the name is god awful but I have purchased lower level seating for $35 a seat here many times. I bought my seats for Game 1 there.

The ‘never selling out’ comment was hyperbole, but hey… nothing wrong with building up the hate, right?

Yes that website is legitimate, yes it is safe, and yes it is a god awful name. Like I said, I bought my Game 1 tickets through the site today. Everytime I’ve bought them they have been emailed to me directly within a few hours. You can also bother them repeatedly about the status of your tickets, which is what I do. I’ve probably bought through them about five times throughout the season.

Not a problem, but do we need to build up the hate between these teams?

Anyway, I would also note that The Rock has been sold out (save for 2-3 gms) since Kovalchuk arrived, whether the opponent was the Rangers or sad sacks like the Blues…

I think we do. Quite honestly, I haven’t hated the Devils all that much in quite a few years.

Remind me Travis, how did Boucher do in his first start against NJ in this past season?

You mean when the complete Flyers team was in the midst of one of the worst months of Flyers hockey in several years? THAT game? Oh, I thought the regular season didn’t matter?

That’s because they’re a lovable team with a great fan base.

For us, it’s always fans of other teams that deliberately spread misinformation about our beloved Devils and purposefully try to rile us that make us hate their teams.

Of course, Clarkson and Leblond are saints. SAINTS, I tell you!

Relevance?

What started as a blatant lie hyperbole has become a discussion about the Sainthood of Clarkson and Leblond?

Have to admit, I’m not much of a religious man myself, so the whole Saint thing is beyond my interest or caring. I do enjoy the irony of a Flyers fan arguing about the reputation of another teams players though. Thanks for the laugh!

Well we’ll need to disagree there – Im one of those rare Devils fans who reserves more hate for the Flyers than for the Rangers. In a way its sort of a compliment, your team has actually been good all these years (save for that one fluky season post-lockout). The Rangers simply put have been mired in mediocrity and at one point went 4-5 years without even beating the Devils in a game.

You can never have too much hyperbole.
