Since I missed game 4, I had it recorded and watched some of it today. (Don't worry, just the happy parts, like Kovy's goal, and Brodeur's save. I'm not that much of a masochist)
The major occurrence I noticed was that barely any of the time was in the Flyer's zone. Philly would be attacking, than once we'd beat them, they'd send one guy who would just ruin anything we tried to advance methodically, instead forcing chaotic passes that often missed their target, or dump ins that resulted in the Flyer's getting possession back. Inversely, our forecheck looked like we were just trying to do be there to be annoying, not create panic.
So my question to all you more hockey savy people than I ever will be, how do you beat a good forecheck? While the situation is bleak, I think if we can limit the disruption caused by the Flyer's forecheck, we might be able to keep the series from being an embarassment.
