HV71 Defeated Djurgardens to win SEL Playoffs
This is old news, but HV71, featuring Devils prospect Mattias Tedenby, defeated Djurgardens, featuring Devils prospect Jacob Josefson, 4 games to 2 to win the 2010 SEL Playoffs.
Tedenby and Josefson put up 5 points in the playoffs, but the experience alone is worthy of mention.
Congratulations to Tedenby and HV71, who have won their second championship in three years.

Nice
I can’t wait for these guys to make the Devils next year or in 2 years.

I agree, I hope they make the jump this year. It’s time.

Watching them in the IIHF
On the same line with Josefson passing it to Tedenby was magical. I can’t wait for them to play on our second line next year. Hopefully.

This gave me a good idea of how they could deal with Tedenby

Thats what the AHL is for.
But I would rather see him in Sweden in a bigger competitive league. Not saying the AHl isn’t competitive but there are better players over there. Just have to be patient. I would rather have them stay there for 2 years then rush them in.

When josefson and tedenby were drafted I got the impression from hearing them speak that they would be over here as soon as they possibly could. Now it seems that they aren’t as interested as much as the were before and are putting it off for some reason.

Rolston gone = Tedenby
Tedenby and Josefson will stay in Sweden next season and play top roles for their competitive team.
Then they will play 1 year in the AHL
THEN.. Rolston’s contract is up and we’ll see Tedenby and Josefson as our THIRD line. They’re not going to just come on the team and be our 2nd line. not with experienced Elias and hopefully a 2nd line center on the team (if we don’t resign Kovalchuk.. which if we did, would create a whole nother mess of problems at the future LW position for Tedenby, which is why i dont want to resign him). They won’t be up next year because we have Rolston as our 3rd line LW, and i don’t think our 5mil man will be on the 4th line.. and i don’t think Tedenby/Josefson will be on the 4th line either.
By 2012-2013 season i think we’ll see something like this..
Parise-Zajac-prospect/Zubrus
Elias-aquired center-prospect/Zubrus
Tedenby-Josefson/Henrique-prospect/Clarkson
PL3/Vasyunov-Swift/Sestito/Pelley-prospect
The year after this Zubrus will probably be gone, the 2nd and 3rd lines will swap positions, except for Clarkson (i think he’s just a solid 3rd line grit man)

Who says Elias will be the same player in 3 years or even be on the Devils?
They will probably be on the 3rd line with either Zharkov, Palmieri, or Davis.

Adam Henrique
I know he isn’t mention in this forum but since we have been talking about two unreal prospects I wanted to let you guys know about another one. Henrique has been lights out for the Spitfires in the OHL Championship with three goals in game 3. In 18 playoff games with the Spits he has 24 points. Can’t wait for this guy to become pro. I know he will do a couple years of AHL first but will be in a Devils uniform sooner than later. Expecting some big things from him, maybe another Mad Dog?

He is having a monster playoff. Its clear that wants to add another championship to finish out his junior career and is going into overdrive to do it.

Its possible that Henrique could develop into something more then Madden. Since I have been following him he has only gotten better and who knows how much he will improve with more seasoning the in AHL.
