Jason Arnott Trade: Links of the Day
Good morning and Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there. I wanted to provide everyone with some link that talk about the Devils recent acquisition of Jason Arnott.
Tom Gulitti writes on NorthJersey.com about the Jason Arnott signing.
Rich Chere asks : Who scored the Devils biggest goal ever?
The Maven, Stan Fischler comments on the re-acquisition of Arnott
Wait, what? According to Lou Lamoriello, per Chere, the Devils could still sign Ilya Kovalchuk?
Patrik Elias happy to reunite with Arnott, per Chere.
Gulitti on Fire & Ice has quotes from Arnott who is also looking forward to reunion with Elias. (I love that Gulitti asked about re-signing Petr Sykora, very funny)
Finally, if you have forgotten how well Elias and Arnott worked together please be sure to watch this video link. Feel free to watch it a few times. I still get excited when Elias kicks that pass to Arnott.

I don’t think I can ever tire of seeing that video.
Some of the best parts:
- Elias’ hair (Frosting? Really, Patrik?)
- Darian Hatcher’s sad face
- The play-by-play guy’s explosion when Arnott scores (He’s no Doc, but hey, who is?)
- Darian Hatcher’s sad face (Did I mention that one already? Sorry, I really hated that guy)
- Robinson’s awkward run out onto the ice
- Whatever the heck that mask thingie is at :41 seconds
- Of course the sweet no-look pass by Elias and the goal
- Darian Hatcher’s sad face (Sorry, I REALLY hated that guy)

Hatcher
The new rules finally exposed Derian for what he was, a pylon who carried a big mean stick. Bastard.
Derian? Normally I look stuff like that up to make sure I get it right, but I just can’t be bothered with him.
Oddly fitting that he ended up a Flyer, no?

Best Parts
- Patrik has always been in touch with his feminine side, right? hehe
- That play-by-play guy was Gary Thorne, don’t you remember? The same guy who called John MacLean’s 1988 goal in OT versus Chicago. He was our announcer before Doc came around, when we watched the Devils on SportsChannel!
- That mask was on Blake Sloan I believe, who broke his jaw during the Playoffs. Remember when Jason Arnott cross-checked him while he was on the ice that gave the Stars a Power Play in OT!
- Best Devils memory for me, up there with MacLean’s goal in 88.
Who didn't?
Piece by piece we are slowly turning into the 2000 Devils team, anyone up for the A-Line: The Sequel?
