Question----Rangers fan here. Do Devils normally spend to the salary cap ceiling? They seem like they might be prepared to this year, especially if they keep Martin or Kovy, and I never thought they could afford to money-wise. Just curious, how much have they spend it past years? Middle between the salary cap ceiling and the salary cap floor? Closer to the floor? Closer to the ceiling?

Just trying to figure out where certain teams stand at this point, and what chances the Devils actually have of retaining Ilya.  Thanks for the insight.
