Ian Pulver, player agent and NHL CBA author, as reported by Michael Traikos of the National Post Pulver reveals that the NHL did try to add contract term limits into the CBA but failed. Meaning: there are none.

Hopefully we will be able shoot down the possible problems one by one. Although I think the length of the contract was the least of the problems.
