PrintWith the addition of Tallinder, A-Train and hopefully Kovy there have been lots of talks about which player's jersey people will be purchasing. I collect jerseys and haven't got one in a long time. My next purchase is not going to be a Devils' jersey but will be a signed Maurice Richard jersey. He did change the game in a scoring way.
Anyway, the reason I am posting this FanPost is because I am interested in seeing how many different jersey's people own. Also write them down along with players from other sports too.
For those that care my list in no particular order goes like this (very different):

My green Wild Pro jersey with Rolston got a LOT of looks, but mostly because it was so garish.

Team Canada World Jr jersey with my man Iggy on the back
Hopefully my Christmas Patty Verbeek jersey, although I have yet to wear it.
But the one that gets the most attention, at least from hockey fans, is my Vintage Canadiens jersey, the mid-40’s jersey with the blue stripe across the logo, with Jean Beliveau on the back.
I have so many (too many as my woman likes to tell me) other ones that I dont even have the chance to wear them all, especially when I go mostly to Devils games and wear my Devils jerseys to them. I wore my Robinson Canadiens jersey once and got terrible looks, even though he was behind the bench at the time.

was the first at the prudential center. I wore my Brodeur Canada jersey and I got chirpped. Take that garbage off, I figured since they were playing the Senators people just assumed I was going for them.

Yeah, that part of the equation kinda sucks. As much as I truly love the team I root for, if they somehow didnt exist, Id still love hockey just the same.
My story is similar to yours in that I became a fan of the Devils to spite my Dad, who has been an Islanders fan since he got to this country back in ‘72. They were new, and he lived close enough that he could go see the games.
As early as I can remember hockey, my Dad would tell me how good the Islanders were (which they were when I first started watching in the early 80’s), and how the Devils could never be as popular or as good an organization as the Islanders. Funny how things change.
I grew up surrounded by Rangers fans, so ’94 hurt badly, but made 1995 such a great victory for me.

Yeah should’ve worn it to a US vs US Team game. I didn’t get a ton of snarls with Gomez which was unusual. I wanted to get a Zelepukin jersey but I don’t know. Same thing Skuba.. Dad was an Islander fan.. They took a fall and the Devils came in and stole him away from the Islanders.

Decided to stop buying jerseys of the guys I liked, and went with a lifer. Broduer #29 Rookie jersey.
I was thinking about Android, he’s my kinda player. I was going to nab a Clarkson before I picked up the Marty, but I didn’t want to jinx the contract. Android is probably next though. I can’t wait to see him in action.
I will definitely be getting an Android jersey. I had one of him in Ottawa, just waiting to see what number he ends up wearing.

Yeah, Im a bit of a cheapskate (kinda have to be to collect so many jerseys), so I am loathe to pay the NHL Store that money. Im hoping to find a blank jersey on the cheap, then get it customized. But that will come during the season once his jersey number is assured.

I have a Pro blank jersey, but Im deciding on whether to customize it with Brylin or Stevens (its a CCM jersey), but I have no Reebok ones.
I looked on the Devils website, and they still dont have the numbers for Arnott, Tallinder or Volchenkov, so…

Ah i feel you're pain
For the longest time all I wore was a red Devils practice jersey as I 1. had grown out of my ‘kid sized’ jersey (I’m 18 right now) and 2. was rather short on cash at the time. But 2 years ago my family decided I needed a proper jersey and got me a Madden (my favorite player) red home authentic jersey for Christmas, with the really nice stitching (no heat press logos/names for me, if I’m gonna buy a jersey I want one that will last and look good). Madden promptly signed with the Blackhawks 7 months later.
I continued wearing it last year, and now I’m currently waiting icejerseys.com to get a new shipment of medium Christmas jerseys and for Volchenkov’s number to be assigned. At least I’ll be good for 6 years.
I’m not really about quantity, I have 3 Devils (Parise and Brodeur, Elias retro away), and all have a nice number of signatures from past and present, as well as my hats. I have two Yankee jerseys and one Giants jersey (will be a second for this season), that’s really it.
As for the numbers of players, I could be wrong, but I have Volchenkov at 24, Salvador up to 27, 28 or 29 assuming he stays, I have Pelley changing to 20 or Tallinder taking 20, but likely 10. My guess would be Tedenby gets 11 and Josefson takes 8 if Zubrus does not stay or one of them takes 16. Arnott should take 25, LeBlond can wear 22. Remember, 7 is also available this year, it will be interesting to see who takes 7.

Tallinder getting 10 will most certainly happen, being that Pelley isnt an everyday player.

I like the black alternates but can’t decide between the Reebok or K-1 style. I think the team is wearing the Reebok’s nowadays.

I wish I could get a half dozen of them. Lots of famous Fighting Sioux alumni out there (Belfour, Zach, Travis, Oshie, Stafford, Hale, etc).

I’ve looking for that too online. From what I can see he didn’t have an A or that. Probably because he was only there is Freshman and Sophomore year before signing his deal with the Devs in ’03.
I look up Parise UND or Fighting Sioux Parise
Its all Devils and a player card. I don’t think he had an A either.
