Newark, NJ - The National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils today announced that they have reached an affiliate agreement with the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings for the 2011-12 season. Under the affiliation arrangement, both New Jersey and Albany may assign players to Kalamazoo. The announcement was made by Devils’ Senior Vice President, Hockey Operations Chris Lamoriello. "The development of our players at every level has always been a top priority for our organization," said Lamoriello. "We look forward to working with the Kalamazoo Wings to help strengthen this process." "We are honored to be associated with two of the most prestigious organizations in the NHL (New Jersey and Vancouver)," said K-Wings President Paul L. Pickard. "The Devils have created a culture of winning through their affiliations and we are delighted to be working with them to help develop their players."
