A Song for Tonight: It's time for some more mathy, heavy music. The Number Twelve Looks Like You comes from Fair Lawn was certainly an interesting group. This is "Jay Walking Backwards" from their third album, Mongrel.
Gameday Info: The New Jersey Devils called up Tim Sestito earlier today, as reported here by Tom Gulitti at Fire & Ice. He will center the fourth line in place of Brad Mills, who will be scratched. Why? Per Gulitti's post, Peter DeBoer wants some energy in the lineup. Well, it's certainly not for offense. Also, Gulitti confirmed that Nick Palmieri will be inserted back into the lineup as the left wing for Ryan Carter and David Clarkson. This should place Mattias Tedenby on the fourth line. I know he's got skill and won't be well-suited to play with Sestito and Cam Janssen, but he hasn't exactly earned a better roster spot. As for the blueline, Gulitti reported this morning that Anton Volchenkov is feeling OK so he will play this evening. This is good news for both Volchenkov (he misses no additional time) and the defense (in that he's better than Mark Fraser).
Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch was at the Blue Jackets' morning skate and reported the following: defenseman Marc Methot will play despite not skating this morning; defenseman Aaron Johnson and forward Derick Brassard will be scratched; and the players are cautiously optimistic. And why not? Sure, they're 5-13-2 on the season but 3-1-1 in their last 5. Sanford hasn't been like Steve Mason and Jeff Carter is playing like the guy we all hated as a Flyer.
As usual, you can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times, namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic (namely, about the two teams in this game), and keep them legal (read: no illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests for one). Go Devils!
