Predators just locked up Pekka Rinne for 7/$49M

Sorry Rinne-wishers, he'll no longer be an UFA come July 1. The article didn't mention anything about a NMC or NTC, but either way, don't expect him to be in a Devils uniform next season.

Maybe we'll be lucky and they won't want to re-sign Weber and/or Suter...

I really like Ryan Suter. He probably is one favorite, non-New Jersey defenseman, one of them at least. I don’t think they’ll have the money to sign Suter and Weber to mega deals, so that means that Suter will most likely hit UFA.

What does this mean for Linback, the back up goaltender for Nashville? Does that mean that he’ll be on the trading block when he hits RFA? I’m assuming he’s still on an ELC???

According to Capgeek.com, Lindback is in the final year of his ELC, so a possible deal could potentially be made. I’m sure they don’t want to sign him to a large deal, so they probably entertain an offer. I don’t know if it would be from us, but still.
