Proof that Sean Avery has a heart: would reach out to gay hockey players

Finding this through this post by Greg Caggiano (which I found through the Copper & Blue), Sean Avery told the press that he would support gay hockey players to come out of the closet. Like Caggiano, I was surprised to read that Sean Avery actually made a laudable public statement. Off the ice, he's apparently not the same jackass that he is on the ice. Hopefully someone will take him up on his words and Avery can help some people out.
