THAT IS COMPLETE BULL!
The only reason A-Train hit his head was because Boychuk was down on one knee! He was going full shoulder. It was more like Boychuk ran into his elbow, not his elbow into Boychuk’s head.
In today’s NHL, that distinction doesn’t matter. Volchenkov was lucky that Boychuk wasn’t injured, or it would be a few games more. Right or wrong, that’s how the league operates. I look forward to hearing how many games Cooke gets.

You should Kevin’s frame-by-frame. He stuck the elbow out slightly. Slightly enough that it clipped Boychuk. I don’t agree with 3 games, but it’s not terrible. I thought 1 or even 2 would have been fine. The third game coming up is against Carolina, so maybe the NHL thought he should sit that game.
