Remember, Anton Volchenkov elbowed Boychuk a few months ago against Carolina, and received a 3-game suspension for the hit. Volchenkov had never been suspended before, but the suspension was appropriate in all honesty. This news, however, is disturbing. In case you didn't see it, Dany Heatley went out of his way to elbow Steve Ott of the Dallas Stars, who was well away from the puck. Heatley's efforts got him a 2-game ban. I'm not saying Heatley is a Cooke/Gillies-dirty player, but 2 games is a pathetic excuse for a suspension considering the league's prior decisions...
