As the Rangers take on the Caps in the first round of the playoffs, Devils nation is collectively rooting for the Caps to destroy Our Most Hated Rivals. I am one of these people. However, I also believe that Bruce Boudreau would be fired as coach of the Caps if he cannot beat the #8 seed for the second straight year (after losing to Montreal last year). Now that the Devils are without a coach, I assume that they would at least give Boudreau an interview if he is fired and the Devils had not already hired a new head coach. However, his firing would most likely be contingent with the Rags defeating the Caps.
