Around SBN: How The Kings Beat The Coyotes: Lather, Rinse, Repeat

Tom Gulitti tweeted this afternoon that the New Jersey Devils signed University of New Hampshire forward Mike Sislo to a two year entry level contract. Here is Sislo's bio and stats at the UNH website. Sislo had a big 2010-11 season with 15 goals and 33 assists as a senior. He'll play out the rest of Albany's season.

Update: The tweet link didn't work but Gulitti's got a post on it at Fire & Ice so I switched it with that. Sorry.

Just a note- if Sislo plays this year, he will burn a year off his ELC (h/t to Chemmy who pointed it out on Silver Seven in the comment section of the Da Costa post)

Well, I’m glad to see them sign a promising Center. (He is a Center right?)

He was in the Acela club with Salvador on Friday night. looks like he could put on a few pounds, a little on the small side.

how many games does albany have left?

Four

3 of them on the road. Last chance to see them would be Saturday night, they’ve been out of the AHL playoff picture for a while.

I like this signing a lot. The organization is desperate for right handed shooting right-wingers. While he’s probably an NHL longshot, it’s probably a help for Albany.

I actually caught a few UNH games this year. Sislo was probably their best forward. Good signing by the Devils
