Well at least we know the 'deadline' for a long-term deal.

I think we need to be patient with the process.  It doesn't seam likely that a deal will be made well in advance of that date.  Also, there is about a zero chance of Lou 'Status Quo' Lamoriello discussing the negotiations.  So there will be probably no more info forth coming until about Aug. 1 when hopefully a favorable deal is announced.
