In Lou We Trust Fantasy League- Is Anyone Interested? (UPDATED- WE MAY NEED ANOTHER LEAGUE)
In somewhat hockey-related news, yesterday marked the opening of Yahoo's fantasy hockey league. They're usually quite reliable and easy to use when it comes to fantasy hockey. Last year, we had a fan-based ILWT Fantasy league run by FrankG929. This year, I was considering that we do that again- except i'll be in charge instead of FrankG929 (Don't worry, I'll do a better job than Bettman). I'm considering a 20 team league- assuming we can get enough people interested. If we do get enough support expect another post regarding the league- namely scoring, rules, regulations and the draft date. The league will be set up once we have enough support.
Alright- I have created a 16 man league- if you wish to join Email me (kevinsellathamby(at)gmail(dot)com). The first 15 will get a spot in the league I created. If I get more emails I'll try and start another league- though I may need a volunteer to manage that one for me.
UPDATE 2: First League is full- if anyone can start a second league please notify me.
UPDATE 3: FrankG929 is bringing back his old league- if people aren't going to return he should have extra spots.

hmmm. 100% of the people are interested… alright person. :p
Yeah, I would be game. I’m planning on doing a league with 3 or 4 of my friends on ESPN, but it might not work out, so I was looking for somewhere to do another. I might as well say that if anybody wants to do a league with around 4 or 5 people, contact me.
I'm In..
I’m definitely in for a league…I know I don’t post here much but I’m always down for fantasy hockey…

Im in.
I was actually hoping that this would happen again. I didnt play last year, but I want to this year.

Definitely interested, but depends on rules
I would be more interested in a weekly lineup league. A daily league is a little too much and I would not be as interested in that
Thanks for the offer.

Assuming the rules and such are at least somewhat favorable, I would play. I have Yahoo! trophies in baseball and football but not hockey as of yet.

Kevin,
20 teams is a bad idea. 16 is really the max yous hould push it.
With the why Goaltending is scored and the lack of quality starters you just end up with 5 or 6 teams that can’t compete or win week to week because they have no ability to win the Goaltending stats. And if you reduce start requirements to just 2, what you end up getting is guys benching their Goalies after a shutout and another start. Which is legal, but kinda like win circumvention in my book.
I’ll throw everyone’s consideration in- I think 15 might be good anyways- I remember doing 20 man leagues and getting terrible goaltending w/ Autodraft

You could run multiple leagues, alternatively.

True- I think we can make two leagues if we get enough for a 1st league.

Should I be automatically entered as I won the League Frank ran last season?
I’m certainly happy to be in a League again this year, but a first come first served basis for inclusion may not be the best way to go. Last season we had a half dozen managers that routinely did not update their lineups. If you make the commitment to play, make sure you actually play.
Speaking of which, invites “should” have just been sent. If not everybody comes back, we can use it as an overflow. Keep an eye here for updates.
Go Devils
Go Jets
Need to lose weight?
Awesome- I’ll throw that in the post.

Frank, you may want to designate which spots will be open from last year, by removing those teams/managers that did not actively participate last season. Nothing worse for Fantasy Hockey than managers who don’t keep their teams up to date, especially when apparently, there are 70 people wanting to play.
That was unbelievably lame…
On a side note, I accepted Kevin’s invite, but also received the invitation to Frank’s league. I’d like a chance to not get humiliated by Skuba in the championship again, so if you guys would prefer I were in only one league or the other, I will do so.
So this is what it's like to be an Islanders fan...

I see roughly 4 or 5 spots that will almost definitely be up for grabs. I’ll give the rest of the active players a couple more days to respond, then let Kevin know how many spots are available, I only have 6 in as of this writing.
Go Devils
Go Jets

I just accepted your invite, my team was DevsRockk! Looking forward to another fun year, hopefully I finish better than last year though haha

I’m not going to be reclaiming my spot from last season. When I saw that Kevin was starting a league, I signed up over there.

Sorry, I forgot to note that in my comment yesterday. My team was Pavel’s Travelers.

I have deleted most of the least active
and worst finishing teams. I have 4 question marks. If you played in my league last season and you don’t wish to return, let me know – otherwise, please join back up (email was sent a few days ago):
Android
Charlestown Chiefs
The Clarkaround
Zajac and Coke
My email is on my profile if you need it.
Go Devils
Go Jets
Need to lose weight?
OK
So I have 5 spots for sure, and still 3 maybes. If you have a waiting list Kevin, let me know who the top 5 and top 8 are so I can invite them.
Go Devils
Go Jets
Need to lose weight?
Is it too late??
Is there any more room for 1 more team??
Just wondering- I remember sending out 15 invites, and there’s only 15 people (myself included) in my league. To whoever didn’t join- if you’re not in the league by next friday, I’ll have to open a spot in my league. If I gave you the wrong password or league ID- email me and i’ll try to resolve the issue

OK all
I have 5 definite spots and one more I’m waiting for a returning member to respond. If you’re not already in Kevin’s league, check my profile for my email address and let me know. First 5 are in, 6th is on standby for elesias. Enough extras, I’ll communicate with awesomodynamo who offered above to run a third.
Go Devils
Go Jets

Is there need for the other league, because I would totally make it if we need it

OK, last year's league is full
I got a couple additions today/last night. I just sent the last invite to another that responded today. awesomodynamo, if you send me your email, I can pass any more requests I get to you and you can add a league if there’s enough overflow. But the requests have only trickled in, so we may not see many more.
Go Devils
Go Jets
Need to lose weight?
Any more wanting in?
I am in two other Leagues that both need two managers for Fantasy Hockey. They are both Keeper Leagues. Message me or reply
NEED ONE MORE
We have lost a Manager in Frank’s Fantasy League, so we need one replacement! Whoever is interested, first come first serve!
