How is Parise suppose to ‘start signing’ a contract that has yet to be negotiated?

And I don’t think Josefson has been assigned to Albany for conditioning. He’s just been assigned to Albany. But with today’s news on Zajak (out 2 weeks), he could be recalled soon.

As expected, the Devils assigned center Jacob Josefson to Albany of the AHL today so he can take the next step in his recovery from a fractured right clavicle there.

TG’s implied that it’s a conditioning stint.

That’s what I got out of it, too.

Since Zajac is being “shut down” for two weeks (really three with the All Star Break) on advice from the surgeon that did his surgery, if there was any doubt Josefson was going to be recalled it’s gone now.

Especially with the 2 stinkers the Devils have played in the past few weeks. This team needs some consistency and needs to get healthy.

Josefson’s assignment comes at a good time by AHL scheduling standards. No three-in-three or even back-to-back. Their next three games are all home and if he is feeling good after Mondays 2pm game, then he could be called up for the NJ Devils next home game.

I love Shawn Thornton, always wished the Devils got him cause he fights and can play hockey, damn solid 4th liner.
