Talking Red Season 2, Episode 20 - The Devils Trivia Show

With the New Jersey Devils not present for the All Star Game and it's festivities and having only played one game last week, Talking Red decided to switch things up: a Devils-based trivia show. David Sarch emceed several games between myself and Ryan Lucas against Tony and Kristin. There were many sighs, attempts at recollection, and a lot of laughs - all for the glory of winning a puck signed by Ilkka Pikkarainen. It's different, it's light, and we all had a lot of fun. Hopefully you will while you listen on; and not only because you can use questions I got wrong to throw back in my face in the future. (e.g. HA! You didn't know current Edmonton GM/moron Steve Tambellini was a Devil player!)

This week's show is 64.29 MB large and 1:10:13 long. Here's a direct link to the show on the TR website, which is also available on iTunes and Stitcher. Here's David's description.

Since there was a lack of action this week, we decided to get together for some New Jersey Devils trivia. In the event like none others, John and Ryan took on Tony and Kristin in the battle for an Ilkka Pikkarainen signed puck. Listen in to find out who the lucky winners were.

Thanks to David, Ryan, Tony, and Kristin for their involvement and having me on. We'll be back to our normal format of discussing games and all things Devils next week. Regardless, you can still email your comments and questions to talkingred at gmail dot com, tweet them to @TalkingRed, or just leave them here in the comments of this post. After the jump is a stream of this week's show:

Star-divide

Thank you for listening.

I think CSKA and the Red Army team are the same thing. Unless I misunderstood the question.

I believe so but I wanted CSKA as the answer because I believe Brylin played for them after the fall of the USSR.

Next time I am going to leave it to the professionals.

I see. I also thought that political change might have changed the entity/ club, though I wouldn’t know if or how those changes took form anyway.

All-in-all, I thought it was a good trivia game with lots of emphasis on true Devils trivia/ minutiae, so even Devils superfans would have a tough time of it.
