Oh, he’s wrestling again, that’s why. Plus it’s fun to make jokes about AHLers saving your team.

Neverson is saying that the Devils aren’t trading Parise. There’s a part of me that wants to be happy because the Devils aren’t trading Zach, but there’s also a part of me that’s incredibly worried because it’s Everson saying this.

He also said they “do not want to re-sign Parise in June,” which just sounds stupid… At least I hope their plan is not to just trade his rights for peanuts after the season.
Really? How could any team possible not want to sign Zach? If, and for me its still a big if, Zach reaches July 1st without a contract then I would be willing to bet good money that at least 30 General Managers will be calling Wade Arnott (Zach’s agent) first thing in the morning.
I say at least because I’m pretty sure at least one KHL team would call up offering Zach $15M+ per season to come play in Russia.

The KHL is a fraudulent league and would offer 15 mil a season for Parise, for him to only see a couple million. They are really shady with North American players.

I can’t really deny that statement, though I still think that if Zach makes it to July 1st unsigned then a KHL team will contact Wade Arnott with an offer.

Yeah I dont doubt that they will offer something, then Parise hangs up thinking he’s going to be on the next jerky boys album.

Tim Gleason
I don’t know why everyone is jumping to the conclusion that because he signed a contract he can’t be traded now. With no sign and trades in the NHL, maybe a team wanted Gleason signed before they trade for him. It’s a lot better just in case the player decides to walk on July 1st. He does have a modified NTC and I wouldn’t be surprised if Carolina still traded him, especially to a team like the Flyers.
it’s an extremely bad faith move to sign a player to a contract only to turn around and trade him.

I didn’t even know you could sign extensions unless it was the off season.
