Around SBN: The Most Dangerous Division in Sports

I was watching the Islanders and Senators game and one of the announcers stated that Mark Eaton publicly said he did not wish to resign with the Islanders. He is 6'1 215 pounds, 34 years old and is currently making 2.5 million dollars and is a Ufa next year. His stats: 45 games played, 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points. He is a -11 with only 8 pims and has a GWG. Statistically he is nothing spectacular, but I could see him as a option Lou may consider making a move for. More of a stay at home defensemen, which is certainly something Lou goes for. Just my two cents what do you guys think?

He isn’t an upgrade over anything we currently have here. He’d be a depth defenseman and likely a healthy scratch more often than not.

There are better things to spend the Devils’ limited resources on.

Naw. We have plenty of that sort of player under contract. Id suggest resigning Salvador, be it for less money, before bothering with Eaton.

If we get a d man for money, it needs to be an elite PMD. Im not talking a weak one either, Im talking a top 10 in the league guy.
