A Song for Today:
Gameday Info: As we know, Martin Brodeur is in net today. Marc-Andrew Fleury will get his second start in as many days. Adam Henrique will also return today, though Pete DeBoer said he will see after warm-ups where he'll be placed in the lineup. Peter Harrold is out and has been sent back to Albany. There are no other changes, thus the Devils will play with the usual 6 defensemen and 12 forwards.
We are all aware that today is one of the biggest sports days in the world and it happens to involve a team locally. We understand it's on the tip of everyone's tongue. However, that game is tonight. This is a Devils blog. If you'd like to discuss the other game, please go here or here.

I like Janssen’s personality better than Boulton’s, as Janssen has history with the team, but I do prefer Boutlon Playing over Janssen, so I would keep Boutlon.

I liked our 3rd period effort today. All of our big 3rd period blown-leads this season have started with us backing off the forecheck, treating it like it’s won, conceding a goal in the first 5 mins, then going into panic mode. Today – hopefully we drew a line under that attitude. Even though we let them in (Malkin is a beast too) mid-period, we kept up the fight and ran the clock down pretty skilfully.
Simple message to the Devils … when 3 up going into the third, we need a hurry-up offense for the first 5 minutes, to neutralize the enemy’s coaching messages in the intermission.
Recap is up. Thanks for joining in and enjoy you evenings.
