The Previews: My preview from far earlier this morning is right here, please check it out if you haven't yet. For the opposition's point of view, Travis Hughes has this short preview at Broad Street Hockey.
A Song for Tonight: It was such a pleasant day in New Jersey, and the Devils are in a pleasant sixth seed riding a four game winning streak. I know it's a rivalry game, but I think a chill song is appropriate given the circumstance. Matt Mondanile of Real Estate has a side project called Ducktails where he puts out songs just like that. Here's "Killin' the Vibe" featuring vocals from Panda Bear. Don't kill the vibe, Devils. Attack the Flyers.
Gameday Info: According to Tom Gulitti of Fire & Ice, all 13 forwards will skate in warm-ups but Matt Taormina will be scratched. I guess Peter DeBoer wants some time to decide whether to play Steve Bernier, an actual hockey player, or Cam Janssen on the fourth line. I hope he's thinking of modifying his game plan, though. The Flyers will get Jakub Voracek and Kimmo Timonen back in the lineup tonight according to this report by Frank Seravalli at Philly.com. Voracek boosts their already impressive set of forwards, and Timonen has been a stud on the blueline for the Flyers. That Timonen will replace Brandon Manning in the lineup is an upgrade all by itself. Throw in the fact that Ilya Bryzgalov will start and this game looks more difficult on paper just before the game. The vibe could be killed.
As usual, you can use the comments in this post to discuss tonight's game before, during, and after it happens until the recap is up. Please remember the rules at all times. Namely: keep your comments clean, keep them on topic (read: don't snipe at each other - there's a game to discuss), and keep them legal (read: nothing about illegal streams - no links, no discussion, no requests). I'll provide the occasional comment here as well as a tweet here and there at @InLouWeTrust. Go Devils!
