New Jersey Devils Podcast Talking Red: Episode 67 - Halfway There

Happy Mother's Day everyone. Celebrate by listening to the latest episode of Talking Red, a New Jersey Devils podcast. Ryan Lucas filled in for David Sarch this week as the host; and I was his sole guest. Together, we discussed Game 5 against Philadelphia, which eliminated the Flyers and sent the Devils to the Eastern Conference Finals. We also discussed the upcoming Eastern Conference Finals against Our Hated Rivals, the New York Rangers. Given that it starts tomorrow, it only made sense to talk about it.

Thanks to Ryan for having me on this week. Here's the direct link to this week's episode at the TR website. As usual, you can also find the show at iTunes and Stitcher; as well as a stream of the show after the jump to this post. It's shorter than usual at 32:15 long and 29.52 MB large. You can give us your comments and questions to talkingred at gmail dot com, tweet them to @TalkingRed, or just leave them here in the comments of this post. Here's Ryan's description of this week's show:

On this Mother's Day episode, Ryan and John discuss the semifinals-clinching game against the Flyers, as well as the series as a whole. They talk about the Devils' ability to hold leads and maintain the pressure on the opposition. Also, how the PK is slowly getting to the level that it was during the regular season. They also preview the Eastern Conference Finals matchup vs the New York Rangers by discussing the Rangers' strengths and how the Devils should prepare to counter them. After a brief look at the Western Conference Finals, they disclose their predictions.

Thanks for listening.
