Admittedly, this is a pretty stupid reason for a FanPost since it's like saying water's wet. We all hate them, but seeing them in the playoffs this year has just made my blood boil. The way they've been right on the edge several times and somehow managed to survive whether it be determination or sheer luck (Ovi's shot off the post in game 3 for example). Every team that advances in the playoffs has moments like that and we've been no different, but seeing those blueshirt #$#%#%@%es do it really grinds my gears. I got away from their game tonight for a bit but made it back with 5 minutes remaining. The Caps were in control but as I always do when I root against the Rags, I had the feeling something bad was about to happen to ruin my night. It took a very late PP and pulling the goalie, but with 6 seconds left, my feeling was proven correct.
I hate that team so much, words cannot even begin to describe it. The game is in OT as I write this, but I'm no longer watching. It seems every single time I tune in to a Rags game to see them lose, they pull something like that. This will be an issue if things progress accordingly and we end up facing off in the ECF. I don't look forward to their slimebag fanbase invading our arena, but I would love nothing more than preventing them from reaching their ultimate goal. Stepping over Philly and Our Hated Rivals on the way to the Cup Finals would be as sweet as it gets, but it still kills me to see them win any game.
Now then, those jokes are only getting my attention because we have the night off. Whether those red and blue toolbags win or lose, tomorrow we have to handle our own business. We better end this series as soon as possible, and facing them without Giroux is as good a time as any.
Let's go Devils!!!!!
