New Jersey Devils Podcast Talking Red: Episode 79 - Tribute to Yashin

The fact that it's the just about the end of July doesn't mean there can't be more of the New Jersey Devils podcast, Talking Red. David Sarch and myself discussed what Alexander Semin signing with Carolina means for New Jersey, whether Petr Sykora is going to come back or not (with a brief Bobby Butler mention), the Devils' top nine forwards and whether it's good enough, and some time spent on the most famous #79 we know: Alexei Yashin. Fun fact: the Islanders are still on the hook for his buyout.

Thanks to David for having me on this show. There are a number of ways to listen to this particular episode. You can get it directly at the Talking Red website. You can get it at iTunes or Stitcher. You can even continue on after the jump to listen to a stream of it right here at this very site. No matter how you choose, this episode is 27:36 long and 12.46 MB large. Here's David's description of this week's episode:

This week David is joined by John from In Lou We Trust and it wouldn't be a proper 79th episode without some Alexei Yashin talk. There is also plenty of Devils talk as they cover Semin signing with Carolina and what that means for Petr Sykora, what they project the Devils top 9 to be, some minor signings the team has made and the lawnmower injury to Harri Pesonen.

Thanks for listening.
