I was caught completely off guard by the article appearing on the Devils website today on Marty's son entering the NHL draft in 2013. Another Brodeur On NHL Draft Horizon It just does not feel like it was that long ago when Marty was breaking in as a rookie. I can still remember being 10 years old and turning on sportschannel to see Brodeur for the first time against the Bruins. Like many Devils fans in my age group who knew only Sean Burke and Chris Terreri I wondered who the hell is this guy :) Little did I know at such a young age that I would be watching and rooting for this same goaltender for the next 20+ years of my life. Now his son will be entering the draft held in New Jersey 21 years later while Marty is still starting for the Devils and just coming off a trip to the finals!! It truly is amazing and very hard to believe. I'll bet any one of you guys $5,000 dollars that the Devils draft him right now. I'll give you the whole field :)
