The radio team on 660AM hinted that Brodeur could've been throwing DeBoer a bone by helping him avoid a goalie controversy.
But it made me question: Could these veterans be speaking up for a reason?
Could the constant back-and-forth lineup changes of forwards and defensemen be preventing consistency? Or (worse) could Jagr be hinting things were better without Salvador?
True, I'm reading into these a lot. If it was just Brodeur saying something to the media, I wouldn't have thought of anything. But then, did Jagr take that cue and run with it on the Gelinas comment?
Are these players frustrated with the coach's lineup decisions? If so, this could indicate a lack of confidence. I'm not taking the sky is falling attitude, the players might like how DeBoer coaches. I'm saying that could this be a sign that they don't like his roster decisions. Lots of questions, but could our depth be hurting in other ways?
