The Game Previews: John's preview from earlier this morning is right here. For the opposition's point of view, please check out Stanley Cup of Chowder.
The Song for Tonight: Goliath by Graveyard. Enjoy this modern day Swedish fuzz rock lullaby about standing up to giants. Seems appropriate with our team facing a Bruins squad with 23 wins and a 6'9" Zdeno Chara.
Gameday Info: As Tom Gulitti reported earlier today, the NJ Devils are on the ledge and need to take a leap of faith in the right direction. With the NY Islanders playing this eve the Devils need a win against the Bruins to stay in the playoff race...which is easier said than done seeing as though the NJ Devils have lost five consecutive games to Boston. If there was ever a time for our beloved Martin Brodeur to steal a game from a truly formidable opponent that time is now. The obvious story of the night from the Boston Bruins camp is the debut of one Jaromir Jagr to their lineup. The 41 year old Czech wonder brings 14 goals and 12 assists in 34 games with him from his former Dallas squad. On another note...the 38 year old American wonder Jay Pandolfo will also don the black and gold this eve for the Boston Bruins. So many wonders...so little time.
The Reminder of Rules: This is a place where you can comment about this game before, during, and after it's played before the recap is up. This is a place where we primarily discuss the Devils game. An odd mention of other NHL games is OK, but it shouldn't dominate discussion. All comments will be clean, respectful of each other, relevant to the game, and legal (read: no streams). Please refrain from super-big pictures to keep the gamethread moving for everyone. If you do post pictures make sure to post a title in the comment. No .GIFs shall be posted...so it is written so it is the law.
John will provide commentary here and through @InLouWeTrust throughout the game. Let's go Devils!!!
