The Atmosphere At The Rock

I just went to the game against San Jose yesterday 3/2. I want to go into a quick rant. There is no energy in the rock at all. The Rock had to be at least 95% full yesterday and there was no energy at all. Most of the time the crowd was quiet and just watching. Every time a "Let’s Go Devils" chant would get going, the crowd on one side of the arena would not be in sync with the other side and the chant would die out in about 10 seconds. Even after a goal, the goal song doesn’t pump anyone up. There’s nothing to chant too. People who had season tickets were sitting all around me in the black seats and they’re still complaining about how bad the goal song is. The Rock is not an intimidating place to play in, it just seems like the fans aren’t connecting with this team. I just don’t get how a arena could have what 15,000 people and be so quiet. I could of taken a nap during the game and no one would of bothered me. Ownership needs to do something to get Devils fans more pumped during a game, its ridiculously bad imo. I haven’t been to game in over a year but when I went last year there was way more energy for this team. It seems like every year (except the Stanley Cup year) the fans are less and less into it. It honestly seems like the one thing that got Devils fans going was the "You Suck" chant in the old goal song. Common Devils fans we can do better than this, we need to make teams hate coming to NJ. I don’t know how possible that is.
