Defenseman and New Jersey Devils prospect Jon Merrill is going to stay in college for another year. I presume he'll play the whole season this time. This is big news for Michigan's defense as Brian Cook noted at MGoBlog. It's an open question as far as how much it will help him in terms of development. We shall see next year.
