He [Parise] was asked twice about the potential for ever playing for the Rangers, the Devils' No. 1 rival and the team they beat in the Eastern Conference Finals, and both times emphatically responded "No," and added, "Don't try to get a headline out of it."

It appears at this point that the Devils have decided to hold on to their 2012 first-round pick. Still waiting for official word.

Deadline has passed, Devils have not notified NHL they are giving up 2012 1st rd pick. So, they're not giving it up this year.
"I think we have the depth now up front with Bernier and Ponikarovsky and Henrique . . "
- Pete DeBoer as quoted by Gulitti. How much do you Bernier contributes to that third line so far? And is he destined for the 4th line when Zajac comes back or Albany?
I didn't want to make a new FanPost, so I figured this would be okay. I just wanted to thank John and the crew for a great season and off season (so far). This is my first full year on ILWT, and this will be the first draft I watch knowing about different players, thanks to all the reviews. Great job and keep up the great work guys.
Devils have filed for club-elected arbitration with Zach Parise, Lou Lamoriello confirms.
"The picks are not going determine that. You’re not going to just do this to get picks. Whatever decision is made is going to be made because you feel that you can do certain things and not hurt yourself. All you have to do is go back to the Marty Brodeur year. Those are decisions that you make and you don’t worry about what people think."
Thought the Coyotes had serious interest in Viktor Fasth, the soon-to-be 29-year-old Swedish goaltender who was MVP of the world championship. But it's hard to see them going with a combo of Fasth and Jason LaBarbera. More likely: they ask the Bruins about Tuukka Rask or the Canucks about Cory Schneider. Neither will come cheap.
Anton Volchenkov of the Devils receives 3 game suspension from NHL
So I talked to person at the Devils that I initially set this up with and he loved what we did at the game and they want to do it again, with possibly a lower section(i assume the 100s behind the goals cause some of those sections are completely empty)
Just waiting for a phone call back from another person at the Devils now because they will be the ones helping setup whenever the next game is.
Update: January 9th, 5 PM EST, vs. Tampa Bay, Section 107, $20 seats.
Thank you to all in the military who either are currently serving, have served in the past, and the friends and family members of those who've served but can't return.
