Other Games of Note: In terms of potential playoff opponents, the only game that matters is the Philadelphia Flyers playing the New York Rangers.  A Devils win means this game matters little to any of us, but a 1-point game and if the Rangers win, we get Montreal and if the Flyers win, we get the Flyers.  So there you go.  Feel free to discuss the game here.

The organization was set up by the Lopez family in honor of their mother and friend, Janice Lopez - the aforementioned JLO - who was struck by ovarian cancer several years ago. While Janice Lopez is no longer with us, the fight against ovarian cancer continues.  They've been working together with the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation since 2005 as well as the Kaleidoscope of Hope (link goes to NJ affiliate).

A Song to Pump You Up: Incredibly appropriate given that the Devils are back home for their next four games (two regular season, first two playoff games), it's "Ironbound" by Overkill.

Other Games of Note: The Pittsburgh Penguins, who tied with the Devils in wins and points, will visit the Atlanta Thrashers.  The Buffalo Sabres are a point behind the Atlantic Division leader, they will visit the Ottawa Senators.  If you want the Devils to finish second in the Eastern Conference, then you want Atlanta and Ottawa to succeed.

Other Games of Note: Pittsburgh will host the Islanders at the final game at the Igloo.  Buffalo will visit Boston. Both games are on at 7 PM EDT.  If you want the Devils to finish at #2 in the East, then hope for the Isles and the B's tonight.  Feel free to discuss these games as how the Penguins and Sabres can affect where the Devils are in the standings.  Remember: A Pittsburgh regulation loss plus a Devils win will clinch the Atlantic.

Lineup Changes of Note: Per Gulitti: Andy Greene will rest, Mike Mottau's back, and Jay Pandolfo will play - but for who, I do not know.  Probably one of the fourth liners, I'd guess.  For the Florida side, Scott Clemmensen is starting.  My reaction to that: "Huh.  Um, interesting."

Additional Information:  It's not clear, but Tom Gulitti reported this morning that Dainius Zubrus should be healthy enough to play tonight and Mark Fraser will be in the lineup.  No word yet as to who is out on defense.

Scoreboard Watching: Pittsburgh won in OT to beat Atlanta 4-3; so the Devils will need two points tonight to keep pace in the division.  As for the conference; Buffalo visits the Montreal Canadiens tonight.

A Song to Pump You Up:  Suicidal Tendencies: "Suicidal Maniac" - Crossover thrash from 1987, makes you hope the Devils will smash Carolina in 2010.  Well, it does for me at least.
