"They know that I'm ready to go," he [Brodeur] said. "I told them a few days ago. I kind of got sick. I wasn't supposed to play on (Long) Island anyway. I think it was good to take some time off too just to get me back. I told them I'm ready and it's up to them to look at me and feel comfortable. That's the bottom line. They have to feel comfortable having me there."
"I'm getting back in the swing of things. It's a matter of a week of a week or maybe more, 10 days, that I'll probably back and I just want to get back in the rhythm also."
"Brian was solid tonight," Sutter said. "Right now things are the way they are. It's not that I don't trust him. That's not the case. It's just a situation where I'm not prepared to shake up some other things for the sake of one player. When you say trust, he's gotten more ice time as we've gone along here. The only thing he isn't doing right now that he was doing before he got hurt, which was eight or nine weeks ago, is killing penalties. And eventually he's going to get back into that, too."
"He is progressing on schedule," Lamoriello said. "It’s between him, the doctor and the physical therapist and it’s all going very well."
