The 2010 IIHF World Championships have ended today with the Czech Republic defeating Russia in the gold medal final 2-1. This post summarizes how the tourney went well for Ilya Kovalchuk, but not so for Andy Greene.

On Friday, the 2010 IIHF World Championships begin. Two New Jersey Devils will be representing their country: Ilya Kovalchuk and Andy Greene. Anssi Salmela could have been third but he was recently injured.

Andy Greene was selected to represent the United States in the 2010 IIHF World Championships. It's a nice way to end a successful season and I point out additional stats as to how good he was in 2009-10.
