The New Jersey Devils signed another goon, right winger Krys Barch in free agency today. This post explains how little Barch will bring to the table while criticizing Lou Lamoriello for not learning from the 2012 playoffs that the fourth line should be filled with players who can actually play hockey.

Andy Strickland is reporting that the New Jersey Devils have re-signed Cam Janssen. It'll be a two-way deal where he'll get $575,000 in the NHL and $105,000 in the AHL for a season. Yeah, a guy with no goals, 1 assist, 17 shots, and less than 5 minutes of average ice time in 48 games while being a possession black hole got a new contract. I don't need to make a full post to explain that I don't like this move at all. Just look at the Player Usage Chart for NJ at Hockey Abstract and weep at #25.
