Steve Lepore at his other jaunt, Puck the Media, has the numbers from a Sports Business Journal article about local TV ratings and households watching. I thought nobody cared about the Devils. Funny that the facts seem to contradict old, tired generalizations. Thanks to, er, Steve (@stevelepore) for tweeting this to me.

I guess Cameron's not coming back to the Rock. Admittedly, I felt he was good at what he did - charisma came natural to him and it provided actual atmosphere at the games. But it makes sense for the Devils to bring in an actual fan for this. Good luck to him or her though! Hat tip to the Devils forum at HF Boards for finding this out.

I contributed a piece to James O'Brien's Cycle like the Sedins Hockey Orphan series. The topic: what would convince a new fan of hockey (or a disgruntled fan of another team) to support a team.
