Playoff Ticket Help

Hey every body, as we all know, the playoffs are right around the corner. So after saying that, I was curious if anyone had any tips or advice on getting tickets to home playoff games. This year will be my first attempt to be there, and I am just looking for the best way to do it. Thank you and Go Devils!

Jon Merrill Refuses to Show Up For Practice

Alright let's get this out of the way first... this is a Hockeybuzz link. Yeah, yeah, I know. But this isn't an Eklund report. Brian Huddle seems to strictly cover NHL prospects. But I guess you can all decide for yourself how much stock you want to put into the article. JUST SAY WHAT HE DID ALREADY!!!!!!!

Parise moved to center

So it appears that the quick fix to JJ going down was to try Parise at center in practice today. He was playing with Kovy and Palms; gotta say I'm irrationally excited about this.

A 2 hour party outside on Championship Plaza featuring the Devils dancers, Kings Highways (a bluegrass group...eh), a beer garden, and much more. It's supposed to be an awesome say weather wise so get to the Rock early and celebrate the seaosn opener.

Scott Niedermayer's Jersey Retirement Ceremony on December 16th

Niedermayer's #27 will join Scott Stevens' #4 and Ken Daneyko's #3 high in the rafters at Prudential Center. The Devils play the Dallas Stars at 7 p.m. The link is from the Devils website with a nice bio and a quote from Lou.

UPDATED - Devils First Cuts - Fourteen to Albany and Five to Juniors

UPDATED - New link from the Devils website announcing the players sent down to Albany. Clermont is the only goalie but the other names shouldn't surprise you. Per Gulitti - These are the players that will be returning to their respected Major Junior Teams in Canada: "Goaltender Scott Wedgewood (Plymouth, OHL); defenseman Reece Scarlett (Swift Current, WHL); and forwards J.T. Barnett (Kamloops, WHL), Reid Boucher (Sarnia, OHL) and Thomas Nesbitt (Ottawa, OHL)."

Doc Leaves MSG, to Stay With NBC/Versus

Sad to see him go, but I'm sure we'll still have our share of games with him, regardless of number becoming substantially lower. Best wishes to the best play-by-play guy in the business!

Devils send defensemen Alexander Urbom to Albany of the AHL and recall defensemen Olivier Magnan-Grenier

This was a surprise. Urbom had not played great, but I just don't get this move. Hopefully Rich Chere or Tom Gulitti can find out why this move was made. I will update later with any new info.

Devils Send 4 Players to Albany, Rob Davison on Waivers

Per @NHLDevils, the Devils have assigned Mike McKenna, Matthew Corrente, Jacob Josefson, Mattias Tedenby to Albany of the AHl. Rob Davison is on waivers. Instant Reaction: Davison on waivers and Tedenby/McKenna being assigned to Albany I expected. Corrente and Josefson were surprising to me. Could it be that theirentry level deals proved problematic when compared with a $500K deal that a Mark Fraser or Matt Taormina has? Well Alexander Urbom is still here...... Of course the roster isnt final yet and Corrente or Josefson could come right back to New Jersey, but I thought Josefson was set at the third line center. I do not think that Adam Mair is the answer at third line center. Can I start the Brendan Morrison speculation now? Or should we wait for a day? Assuming Bryce Salvador and Anssi Salmela both start the year on LTIR, the defensemen currently in camp are: Anton Volchenkov, Henrik Tallinder, Colin White, Andy Greene, Mark Fraser, Alexander Urbom, Matt Taormina That third pairing is sure going to be interesting........
